We are seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to join our team at Imerys. As a key member of our Regional Health & Safety department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer health and safety programs, conduct investigations, and oversee testing to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Support safety committees and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including MSHA and OSHA standards.
- Compile and analyze statistical data to assess high-risk areas and implement corrective actions.
- Manage industrial hygiene testing and analysis of workplace chemical and physical hazards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in health and safety management, preferably in mining and heavy industry.
- EHS certifications and union experience are beneficial but not required.
