Job Summary
- The Systems Operator is responsible for the maintenance and efficient operation for all mobile, screening, grinding and crushing equipment.
- Responsible for insuring the correct feed is being supplied to each system.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all associated equipment.
- Responsible for the quality of products delivered to the bins of all systems and for the quality of all bulk loaded products going to other locations on his shift.
- Responsible to maintain all safety and environmental protocols.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Check all systems and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Insure the quality of all products in the bins and record the required screen analysis.
- Schedule and manage the transfer of material between plants efficiently.
- Develop the capability to set up appropriate blends for sized material to ensure the material meets specification.
- Monitor and adjust the grinding media and grinds.
- Inspect and make necessary changes in the grinding equipment for efficient operation.
- Supply feed to all the sizing systems as required.
- Perform any other task assigned by the Foreman, Supervisor or Manager.
Skills and Attributes Requirements
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
Must be able to lift 100 lbs. with assistance.
Must be able to work all shifts.
Must be able to walk up and down stairs.
Must be able to climb up and down ladders.
Must have good written and oral communication skills. General computer literacy or acquired within one month .
Must wear all required safety equipment.
Education/Experience Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Technical education is preferred.
Environment
- While performing the duties of this job; the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise, outside weather in all conditions and materials used in the process.
- Frequent walking, standing, and sitting with exposure to all seasonal climatic conditions.
- Occasionally lifting, carrying, and/or pulling objects up to 50 lbs.
- Approximately 100% plant environment.
