perform all accounting and reporting functions at its Sarasota, Florida headquarters. Imerza is a
wholly-owned subsidiary of The Together Group which is headquartered in London, England.
Summary :
The Director of Finance and Accounting is a pivotal leadership role at Imerza, responsible for
overseeing financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting operations, and compliance.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, effective reporting, and robust
forecasting while providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth and
profitability. This position will report to the CEO.
Responsibilities :
Strategic Financial Leadership :
- Develop and execute the financial strategy compatible with the demands and requirements of the parent company.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data and metrics
- Drive strategic initiatives that enhance financial performance and operational efficiency
FP&A Leadership Responsibilities :
Lead the company effort to run the forecasting and budgeting processes.Conduct in-depth variance analysis to monitor performance against profitability goals and recommend corrective actionsSupport the sales team in project pipeline development analysis and service contract reviewsImplement and deploy key analytical reports that provide real-time insights into financial performanceAccounting Operations :
Perform the day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, general ledger, and financial reportingEnsure the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for internal and external stakeholdersStrengthen internal controls and processes to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policiesPerform the periodic closing and reporting processes and necessary reconciliations.Coordinate with outside accountants to prepare and file necessary tax returns on state and federal levelCompliance and Risk Management :
Ensure adherence to GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirementsIdentify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and controlsOversee audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance and transparencyTeam Leadership and Development :
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance and accounting team, promoting professional development and a culture of continuous learningFoster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and accountability among team members.Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development through coaching and trainingSkills / Experience Required :
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in progressive finance, FP&A, accounting, with a track record of leadershipExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearlyStrong analytical skills, excellent business acumen, and meticulous attention to detailAdvanced proficiency in Excel and quickbooks.Proficient in data visualization tools such as Power BISolid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS); experience in software / security technology industry preferredPublic accounting experience a plusEducation :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferredCertificates, Licenses, Registrations :
CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus
Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
