The Assistant Event Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of events within Baseball, Golf, and Tennis
Position Responsibilities
Facilitate internal communication with all necessary departments to ensure all departments are working collectively on event success and problem solve conflicts/issues that may arise
Develop and maintain strong relationships across campus, particularly in Sport and Operations
Establish and manage budgets for each event
Work with Accounting to manage finance processes for each event, including performing financial reconciliations, processing invoices, budget reviews, purchase orders, and new vendor processing
Develop and execute event operations plans to include security, restrooms, ticketing, parking, etc.
Procure all necessary supplies and equipment for events
Prepare event production timelines, venue schematics, and event orders
Assist with the recruitment and training of event staff
Assist with other events outside of primary sports when necessary
Assist with marketing campaign including communication and promotions partnering with Marketing as appropriate
Assist in development and management of department and companywide risk and site management plans
Liaison between corporate sponsors, event staff and IMG Academy business partners
Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Bachelor’s Degree
3 years of successful event planning and management
Sports background
Experience in event planning and management of youth sports/events
Ability to establishand follow budgets
Ability to manage and supervisepeople
Highly motivated and able to take initiative
Ability to work in a fast – paced, dynamic environment meeting multiple deadlines
Strategic thinker with the ability to learn existing processes and improve them
Exceptionally detailed in work
Ability to communicate to a variety of audiences
Strong organizational skills
Ability to be trained in multiple digital software platforms including but not limited to management systems, SAP and venue scheduling
Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of40lbs.
Ability to perform the physical aspects of event set up, tear down and execution.
Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
