The Property Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Academy.
Position Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Academy, including but not limited to all activities such as events, construction, vendors, and general business operations
Act as lead management decision-maker for the campus during evening and overnight shifts
Schedule, direct and manage property maintenance projects ensuring the proper care of the campus
Ensure minimum disruption of campus activities during project implementation. Communicate plans effectively and in a timely manner.
Respond to emergencies of all kinds, included but not limited to fire, health and safety, water issues, weather safety, security, natural gas
Approach responsibilities with ability to think strategically, plan thoughtfully and execute efficiently and effectively.
Create strong working relationships on campus to enhance service and collaboration
Proactively resolve student, guest and public complaints
Assist with scheduling and facilitating mandatory inspections
Maintain records, reports and files including state licenses and permits
Make facilities financial recommendations that align with operational objectives of the strategic plan.
Develop, prioritize and manage comprehensive list of cycle maintenance and deferred maintenance projects.
Develop working rapport with outside agencies including contractors, construction, Fire, Police and other local, state and government entities.
Manage construction projects within financial and time constraints to achieve optimum results
Collaborate to decrease costs and improve outcomes and opportunities.
Assure compliance with all applicable code requirements.
Decrease expenditures or shifts resources to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
Maintain knowledge of Insurance and Liability
Patrol campus on foot or by golf cart
Develop, maintain and review policies and procedures to make the campus function more effective and efficiently.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience with property management or related experience
Strong customer service skills and experience
Experience with computers including MS Office
Ability to enforce Academy rules, policies and regulations
Strong analytical, written and communication skills
Flexibility/adaptability to accommodate a wide variety of frequent tasks requiring multiple skills.
Ability to write detailed reports as well as good verbal communication
Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one
Ability to estimate, order and price materials for work assignments
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and schematics
Knowledge of OSHA guidelines
Preferred Skills
Business Administration or Sports Management degree
Relationships with local, state, federal agencies
Mechanical aptitude
Bilingual
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 50lbs.
Ability to climb ladders and work at high elevations
Ability to work in dusty conditions
Ability to work in high noise environments
Ability to work with chemicals
Must be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
