Job Summary:
A key business partner to Industrial Automation's businesses in the Americas region, working alongside the Americas Leadership team, the Head of Legal & Compliance provides critical support for legal and compliance advice. This role ensures Americas businesses manage contractual, legal, compliance, and business risks appropriately and in accordance with applicable law and company policy.
The nature of the business means work will be of an international and diverse nature. The ideal candidate will provide strategic guidance on legal, compliance, commercial, and business risks. They will identify and mitigate legal risks or concerns and ensure significant issues are recognized and addressed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing generalist legal expertise and guidance.
- Identifying opportunities for and conducting training on all areas of legal and compliance policy.
- Overseeing and managing the instruction and management of external counsel.
- Ensuring good corporate governance and assisting with statutory corporate changes.
- Engaging with other lawyers and compliance professionals across the IMI legal and compliance community.
- Promoting good practice in terms of contract management processes and intellectual property protection.
- Providing legal guidance and support on all types of commercial contracts and contracting matters.
- Promoting a culture of ethical behavior and compliance.
- Providing legal guidance and support in relation to the compliance program covering anti-bribery and corruption, trade compliance, data privacy, and competition law.
- Monitoring regulatory changes and assessing their impact on the organization.
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 10 years' work experience in a legal capacity.
- Ability to establish, maintain, and influence effective and proactive working relationships.
- Ability to manage complex legal and compliance matters and guide the organization through legal challenges.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member with excellent communication skills.

Salary : $200,000 - $220,000
