Role Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks within the facility, serving as a key resource for repairs and property upkeep. This role works closely with the Facilities Manager and collaborates with the HSE Manager to execute work orders and ensure proper maintenance of building HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine maintenance, including structural repairs (windows, doors, walls) and minor painting.
· Repair plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and drainage problems.
· Address electrical wiring issues, including shortages or severed wires.
· Maintain and service HVAC equipment to ensure proper climate control.
· Apply preventative maintenance measures, such as sealing flat roofs.
· Identify and fix potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
· Conduct minor groundskeeping and maintain outdoor areas.
· Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of cafeterias and manufacturing areas.
· Assist with daily supply requests and address trash needs as necessary.
· Receive and prioritize maintenance work orders, ensuring timely completion.
· Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on buildings and grounds.
· Make basic repairs and coordinate with specialists for complex issues.
· Schedule maintenance and repairs to minimize disruptions.
· Maintain a “Tour Ready” appearance in all areas.
· Interact professionally with employees and residents, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
· Exhibit attention to detail and physical stamina to complete tasks efficiently.
Critical Competencies for Success

· Valid driver’s license for travel across all IMI Adaptas campus buildings.
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Electrician License
· Tertiary or post-trade qualifications in Project Management, Business, Facility Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
· Physical requirements:
o Frequent bending, walking, and mobility.
o Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop/bend, and reach.
o Ability to lift up to 25 lbs using proper techniques; occasional lifting of boxes up to 40 lbs.
