Role Overview:

The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications and systems by designing, implementing, and executing robust testing processes. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior QA team members, and drive process improvements to deliver high-quality software products that meet business requirements and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning and Execution

• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.
• Conduct manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing. 
• Analyze, develop, and implement quality protocols, including inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to reduce customer concerns.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action completion. Ensure that Core Tools (Control Plan, PFMEA etc.) are revised as required, especially as a result of corrective actions. 
• Establish and maintain PPAP, Core tools (PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, Core Documentation)
• Approve supplier part submission documentation and corrective action plans, 
• Execute end-to-end testing across various platforms and ensure defect-free delivery.
• Train employees on quality assurance standards and how to identify defects. 

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements.
• Lead the problem solving activity for internal and external quality related issues, in compliance with the QOS Quality Operating System. 
• Act as the QA lead for multiple projects, providing regular updates on testing progress and risks.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Communicate expectations to Quality Inspectors, shop employees, provide feedback, and prepare reports.

Defect Management

• Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and verify fixes.
• Analyze defect trends and provide recommendations to improve software quality.
• Collect and analyzing data on inspections and production line.

Process Improvement and Mentorship

• Develop and enhance QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior QA analysts and Quality Inspectors.
• Advocate for best practices in software testing and quality assurance, Understanding customer needs and expectations from a product. 
• Interface with the customer and suppliers on quality related issues. 

Automation and Tools

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar.
• Evaluate and recommend new testing tools and technologies to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compatibility testing across multiple browsers, devices, and platforms.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead QA role.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
• Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., TestRail) and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
• Experience in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Pay range:  $90k-$110k annually
Within the range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to the job requirements. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to receive a variable incentive pay component. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
