Role Overview:
The Supply Chain Manager will manage the purchasing, production planning and inventory control functions within established guidelines and standards to produce on-time, high quality, low-cost product in a safe and clean environment. Provides support to production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements. Collaborates with operations team in planning and forecasting of customer orders to delivery due dates. Provides consistent, fair, and timely feedback to team and leadership members through one-on-one discussions, performance reviews, coaching, mentoring, and training in accordance with company culture and supportive of IMI behaviors.

Salary Range: $130-$145k
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaches and mentors members of supply chain team to improve efficiency
- Manages daily activities of the purchasing, inventory control, shipping and receiving functions
- Establishes goals and metrics for supply chain team; provides feedback; evaluates performance to goals; reports results.
- Leads the planning and scheduling process throughout the manufacturing facility, WIP, Raw Material, semi-finished goods and finished goods to optimize the productivity
- Set the replenishment strategy for all parts in the supply chain supporting pull manufacturing. (Kanban / Heijunka etc…)
- Lead and develop a team of planners and buyers to ensure there is enough components available to meet finished goods demand.
- Manage the demand plan to smooth demand using inventory supermarkets to optimize level production
- Ensure inventory turns across the whole and component parts of the supply chain improve 20% YOY until target of 10 turns are met
- Ensure there is enough flexibility in the planning schedule system to accommodate a 25% swing in demand variation
- Design, develop and document all supply chain standard processes to be used as training materials for the entire workforce in University Park
- Utilize system capability to drive MRP / Advanced supply chain planning techniques
- Optimize the forecast accuracy at product group level and drive the S&OP process for the facility
- Procurement:
- Drive the tactical implementation of strategic sourcing
- Manage the relationship with the internal regional procurement and commodity managers
- Manage supplier relationships. Negotiate terms and measure performance on a balanced scorecard
- Defines supplier cost, quality, and delivery improvement plans with suppliers by considering new geographic locations, value-added projects, vendor consolidation, etc
- Leads pricing/contract negotiations in for the site
- Leads supplier consolidation and rationalization (selection/reduction/standardization)
- Drives use of lean tools for continuous performance improvement
- Prepares budgets and drives savings targets in procurement
- Complies with procedures, requirements, governmental, environmental, legal and tax established policies and other procedures of the organization, quality and environmental policies according to IMI Quality system
- Manages and maintains effective communication with all internal and external partners, such as suppliers, members of the Management team, Manufacturing, Engineering,
- Quality Assurance, and Marketing and/or Operations
- Provides the Plant Manager and Financial controller regular reporting on challenges and issues
- Other duties as assigned
Critical Competencies for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, engineering required.
- 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, including Procurement, Materials Management, Planning and Logistics with increased level of responsibility Must have a broad
- understanding of the functional components of forecasting, demand planning, strategic procurement, lean manufacturing and pull systems
- Must have direct experience in implementing supply chain planning and scheduling practices in a complex, configured manufacturing environment
- Background in production scheduling a plus
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to manage others, required
- Ability to professionally present complex functional material to a cross functional team, required
- Experienced in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, and SQL, preferred
- Experience in data-driven problem solving, required
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and experience with relationship-building, required
- Demonstrated ability to establish business process issues and drive process improvement
- Excellent analytical skills including advanced Excel
- Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders
Organizational skills to manage transactional details Computers and Technology
- Proficient with various ERP systems and MS Office. Advanced excel skills are preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle EBS is required
Certifications
- APICS CSCP, CPIM Lean, and Six Sigma Preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities - This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, performance management, coaching, supervision, fostering teamwork, training and development of one or more employees.
