1. Shipping and Receiving Operations:
- Oversee and coordinate all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Schedule and coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments with carriers and internal teams.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of goods, verifying quantities and condition against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Prepare and process shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues promptly.
- Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving areas for efficient material flow and storage.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures in the shipping and receiving areas.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods.
- Plan, coordinate, and track inbound and outbound shipments (domestic and international).
- Select appropriate transportation modes and carriers based on cost, transit time, and delivery requirements.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs forms, and export/import documentation.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively address any delays or issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to align supply with demand.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize loss and damage.
- Participate in regular inventory audits and reconciliations.
- Analyze existing logistics processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.
- Develop and implement streamlined logistics procedures and workflows.
- Utilize logistics software and technology to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate reports.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging logistics trends.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding shipment status, potential delays, and logistical challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve logistics-related issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all logistics and shipping/receiving activities, including shipping documents and inventory data.
- Generate regular reports on key logistics metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, transportation costs, inventory levels, and shipping/receiving efficiency.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, and/or shipping/receiving operations.
- Strong understanding of logistics principles, transportation regulations, inventory management techniques, and shipping/receiving best practices.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software is a plus.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
