Imig A/V is seeking an experienced technician primarily to install various audio/video/control equipment
The ideal candidate would have professional experience in construction, installation, information Technologies and/or Live events.
Our A/V servicing and Installation department is continuing to grow and is need of an individual with the following:
Knowledge in networking , signal processing, and system design is preferred
Would be willing to provide on the job training for a promising candidate
As an AV Installation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems. Reporting to the Installation Coordinator, you will utilize your core skills in hand tools, cabling, and software troubleshooting to ensure seamless system design and operation. Your premium skills in low voltage and electrical experience will enhance your capability to handle complex installations. Additionally, your relevant skills in mechanical knowledge and computer networking will support effective communication and signal processing, making you an essential part of our team dedicated to delivering high-quality AV solutions.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, work safely at height . This job can have physical demands.
- Ability to work in scissor lift & single man bucket lift – with the appropriate safety gear
- Set up projectors/screens, mixer, microphones, and speakers.
- Make/run cables such as SDI, coax, ethernet, XLR, etc.
- Ability to communicate – promptly asks for clarification
- Able to read and interpret written information such as project documents, equipment, and installation manuals.
- Ability to work independently.
- Tool proficiency - Hand tools and power drills
- Have a basic working knowledge of signal flow to troubleshoot gear
- Adaptable to changing environments and the needs of cliental
- Time Management skills
- Reliable transportation: A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required when operating Company vehicles.
- Must be able to refrain from recreational drug and alcohol use during scheduled hours
Job Types: Part-time with potential move to Full-time
Pay: Based on experience
Schedule:
- Weekday 8am-4pm
- Evenings & Weekends – occasionally when install can advance smoother during non-business hours
Job Type: Part-time – 20hrs a week minimum
