The following lists the responsibilities and requirements of the Locksmith Technician III position.
Responsibilities:
- Cut, duplicate, and program keys for a variety of locks for commercial applications.
- Assemble, pin, and rekey lock cylinders for field locksmiths based on work orders and master key system requirements.
- Maintain and organize an inventory of locks, keys, cylinders, and other locksmithing supplies to support field technicians.
- Prepare and package lock hardware, key sets, and other materials for delivery to field locksmiths.
- Assist in maintaining master key systems by recording key bitting charts, hardware changes, and system updates.
- Provide technical support to field locksmiths by troubleshooting lock and key issues remotely.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on key-cutting machines, duplicators, and other shop equipment.
- Ensure all key and lock-related work complies with security policies and customer requirements.
- Stay up to date with new lock technologies, key systems, and security hardware advancements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure shop environment.
- Follow company policies and safety regulations while handling locksmithing tools and materials.
- Perform other shop-related duties as assigned by management.
- Warehouse duties to include, shipping, receiving, stocking, and picking materials to support field technicians.
Preferred: Medeco High Key System experience a plus.
