Position Overview
Immanuel Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual who has committed their life to following Jesus Christ and feels a strong calling to serve middle and high school students within the local church. The ideal candidate will cultivate a dynamic and engaging environment where students can grow in their faith and build relationships with their peers. This person will also play a vital role in shaping student discipleship through biblical teaching and small group leadership, while maintaining strong communication with parents and aligning with the vision of Immanuel Church.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a weekly Wednesday night program for middle and high school students.
- Recruit, train, and support a team of volunteer adult leaders.
- Plan and coordinate additional events that foster spiritual growth and community.
- Create and teach biblically sound lessons with practical life applications.
- Contribute to other areas of church ministry as needed, including family ministry, preaching, men’s ministry, small groups, and volunteer care.
- Commit to ongoing personal spiritual growth and continuing education.
- Organize and lead fundraising efforts to support student ministry initiatives.
- Manage program resources with efficiency and sustainability in mind.
Qualifications
- A vibrant, personal faith in Jesus Christ with a commitment to teaching Scripture accurately.
- College or seminary preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with youth.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative spirit and ability to work well on a team.
