Position Overview:
The 6th Grade Teacher will be responsible for teaching English/Language Arts, Science, Religion, and an elective while fostering a positive, faith-based learning environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to integrating Christian values into their teaching and guiding students to grow academically, spiritually, and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with school curriculum and academic standards.
- Teach English/Language Arts, Science, Religion, and an elective, incorporating a faith-based perspective.
- Create a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom environment that encourages academic and personal growth.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback and support.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and parents to support student success.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Serve as a role model of Christian faith and values for students and the school community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).
- Teaching certificate (required)
- Lutheran Teacher Diploma (LTD) or willingness to uphold Lutheran doctrine in teaching.
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for working with middle school students.
- Ability to integrate faith into daily instruction and classroom activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
