Assistant Summer Camp Counselor at Early Childhood Center

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Camp Counselor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sharing the love of Christ to children and their families. They would play a vital role in supporting the lead camp teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This position involves working closely with students, to promote their growth and development through engaging student led activities and individualized attention.

Must be able to work into the late afternoon.

Duties listed, but limited to

• Assist in the implementation of daily lesson plans and curriculum development tailored to the needs of each child.
• Provide care for all children, ensuring their safety and well-being during activities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative learning environment.
• Support children all children by adapting lessons and activities to meet their unique needs.
• Engage in lesson planning alongside the lead teacher, contributing ideas that enhance educational experiences.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom that promotes learning and exploration.

Experience

• Previous experience working with students in a daycare, educational and/or camp setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A passion for childcare and education, coupled with patience and enthusiasm for working with young learners.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
