Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Aide to join our team in a nurturing environment focused on early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in childhood development and be committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphere. This role is essential in supporting the educational needs of children while assisting lead educators in implementing effective lesson plans and behavior management strategies.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging lesson plans that align with Lutheran School principles.
- Support educators in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive interactions among children.
- Educate children through hands-on activities, fostering their curiosity and love for learning.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and the Director to ensure a collaborative environment.
- Monitor children's progress and development, providing feedback to lead educators as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience or education in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with Lutheran and Christian school teaching methods is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and adults.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
- Experience in daycare or childcare settings is advantageous.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their growth.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
