Summary You will serve as a Office Automation Assistant in the Naval Safety and Environment Training Center (NAVSAFENVTRACEN) of NAVSAFENVTRNGCTR. Responsibilities You will work independently while completing administrative tasks such as managing emails, filing, and facilitating internal communications. You will create, copy, edit, calculate, revise, retrieve, store and prints a wide range of documents in final form from handwritten / typed drafts and update and revise spreadsheets and files. You will prepare a wide range of documents using advanced Microsoft Suite applications (i.e. Word, excel, and power point). You will receive and answer routine telephone and emailed inquiries or refer to appropriate staff members. You will perform a wide variety of record keeping, reporting, and informational duties in support of organizational programs, projects, studies, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower (GS-04) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector serving as the principle clerical and administrative support to an organizational unit by providing clerical, administrative and personnel support. Examples of specialized experience may include : 1) Knowledge of office automation software (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, e-mail); 2) Ability to maintain records and / or to produce documents or reports in draft or final form; 3) Create, edit, and track correspondence; 4) Ability to resolve operating problems and make recommendations.
