The Lead Mentor/Tutor is responsible for guiding, teaching, and providing academic support for students in grades PreK-8th in a homeschool co-op learning environment. The individual will work collaboratively with parents to create a nurturing, enriching, and effective educational experience that supports the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Classroom Instruction: Plan and implement engaging lessons for students in subjects such as Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and other specialized subjects as needed.
- Mentorship: Serve as a mentor, providing academic, emotional, and social support to students, fostering a positive, growth-minded environment.
- Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress through informal and formal methods and provide constructive feedback to parents and students.
- Individualized Support: Offer differentiated instruction based on student needs, adapting lessons for varying learning styles, and providing one-on-one or small group tutoring as required.
- Classroom Management: Create a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation, collaboration, and effective learning.
