Hardware Support Engineer

Based in Malaga, our solar-powered Production Facility boasts large, safe, tailored functional layouts and modern facilities.

Reporting to a Team Lead, along with a team of Mechanical Engineers, this position supports the Production and the Engineering Departments. Therefore, a strong desire to engage and take ownership of assigned tasks, and work collaboratively in areas outside of Hardware Support, is important. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Creating High Quality 3D Models, Drawings, BOMs and Cutting Lists for various simulator products.
• Producing drawing packs for production.
• Generating water cutting & Press brake programs.
• Performing general ongoing production support.
• Collaborating within a cross functional team including Electronics, Fabrication and CNC Teams to provide Mechanical design expertise.
• Maintaining existing product and supporting field teams through design updates and technical instructions.

This is a challenging and rewarding career opportunity and the skillsets which are desirable to us are:

• Some Mechanical Design experience within a Manufacturing environment (Sheet Metal, CNC Machines), but this is not essential.
• Knowledge of drafting processes and engineering drawing control.
• Skill in reverse engineering existing product and parts to suit a new purpose.
• Experience using SolidWorks (or similar) 3D parametric modelling.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Solutions focused, with demonstrated ability to problem solve.
• A natural desire to engage a range of stakeholders and work collaboratively to brainstorm great outcomes.
• A strong eye for detail and a self-desire to produce high-quality work.
• Strong commitment to safety and how it applies in an operational environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
