What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powder Coat Painter position at IMMI?
IMMI in Westfield, Indiana is seeking a highly motivated Powder Coat Painter to support our operations.
HOURS:
1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm
2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 pm - 3:30 am
Weekend Shift: Friday (6:30 am - 5:00 pm) and Saturday (7:00 am - 3:00 pm)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate powder coating spray guns and other equipment.
- Mix powders according to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Apply powder coatings evenly and consistently to surfaces using spray guns.
- Adjust spray equipment for proper application, including thickness and color.
- Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring that the coating is smooth, uniform, and free of defects.
- Identify and correct any coating flaws, such as uneven thickness, runs, or contamination.
- Rework or touch up coated items as necessary to meet quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in assembly or a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to consistently produce quality work.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Excellent hand/eye coordination.
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 30 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to stand up for at least 10 hours a day.
- Must be flexible to work in various stations.
- Must be able to work overtime if needed.
- Must stay focused in fast-paced work environment.
