IHELP empowers immigrant families by providing individualized, in-home English language education and tools for effective navigation of our community.

Job Title: Adult Program Coordinator

Full Time: 36 hours per week, exempt. Hybrid position with both in-person and remote work

Compensation: $36,000 per year plus benefits package

Job Summary: The Adult Program Coordinator serves as a coordinator in the adult program department. Responsibilities include working with volunteers and students in the program, coordinating student and volunteer matches, training volunteers, data entry and event support. Responsibilities will be coordinated and supervised by the Adult Program Manager.

Primary Duties:

• Student & volunteer training and management

• In-home and virtual student intakes and assessments

• Update and maintain volunteer and student tracking database

• Assist in addressing individual student and volunteer needs

• In collaboration with the staff, address equity within the organization and community

• Support and organize volunteer recognition and student events

• Support of annual organization events, Toast to IHELP & Trivia Night

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• IHELP is open to a wide range of educational and professional backgrounds.

• Second language, particularly Spanish, preferred but not required

• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on working with diverse cultural backgrounds

• Strong organizational ability

• Comfortable with public speaking

• Task-oriented with ability to switch focus as needed

• Commitment to organizational values

• Some evenings and weekends required

• Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required

• Proficiency in Google Documents, Microsoft Office Word and Excel

• ESL background helpful, but not required
