Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of our human resources processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HR practices, accounting, and data management, with proficiency in various software tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Manage employee records and maintain the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) for accurate data entry and reporting.
- Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees.
- Collaborate with management to address employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
- Utilize PeopleSoft and other accounting software as necessary for HR-related tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in human resources or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping, payroll processing, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Proficient in data entry with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all records.
- Experience with HRIS systems; knowledge of PeopleSoft is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
