Immigration Legal Services of Long Island is not-for-profit organization, providing immigration assistance and deportation defense services to detained and non-detained immigrants who live or work within the tri-state area.
We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish-English) paralegal. Paralegals assist attorneys by performing the following duties:
- Filling out immigration forms
- Taking client affidavits and statements
- Drafting family court petitions for custody and guardianship cases
- Drafting letters
- Interaction with clients, in person and over the phone
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Verbal & written fluency in Spanish and English
- Ability to interpret and translate complex documents
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Very details-oriented and organized.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
