Position Overview
We are seeking a bilingual Immigration Paralegal (Spanish-speaking required) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in handling a diverse caseload, including employment-based and family-based petitions, asylum applications, and removal defense cases. Key Responsibilities
✔ Case Preparation & Filing: Assist attorneys in preparing and filing petitions, applications, and supporting documents for USCIS, NVC, EOIR, and federal courts.
✔ Employment-Based Immigration: Support in drafting and managing H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, PERM, EB-1/EB-2 NIW, and other employment-based cases.
✔ Family-Based Immigration: Prepare I-130 petitions, adjustment of status applications, consular processing documents, and hardship waivers (I-601, I-601A).
✔ Asylum & Humanitarian Relief: Assist with asylum applications, VAWA, U visas, T visas, and DACA renewals.
✔ Removal Defense: Prepare motions, applications, and evidence for cancellation of removal, bond hearings, and waivers.
✔ Client Communication: Conduct client intakes, schedule appointments, and maintain regular communication with clients in Spanish and English to ensure case progress.
✔ Document Management: Organize and maintain case files, track deadlines, and manage filings with government agencies.
✔ Legal Research & Support: Research case law, policies, and country conditions to assist attorneys in preparing cases.
Qualifications
✅ Fluent in Spanish (Required) – must be able to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients.
✅ Minimum 1 year of experience in immigration law (employment-based, family-based, asylum, or removal defense preferred).
✅ Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred but not required with sufficient experience.
✅ Excellent writing and communication skills in both English and Spanish.
✅ Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
✅ Experience with immigration case management software (e.g., Docketwise, INSZoom, LawLogix) is a plus.
