What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director, Analytical Characterization, Antibody and ADC Sciences position at Immunome?
Company Overview
Immunome is a clinical-stage targeted oncology company committed to developing first- and best-in-class targeted therapies designed to improve outcomes for cancer patients. We are advancing an innovative portfolio of therapeutics, drawing on leadership that previously played key roles in the design, development, and commercialization of cutting-edge targeted cancer therapies, including antibody-drug conjugate therapies (ADCs.) Our most advanced pipeline programs are varegacestat (formerly AL102), a gamma secretase inhibitor which is currently in a Phase 3 trial for treatment of desmoid tumors, IM-1021, a ROR1 ADC with an active IND, and IM-3050, a FAP-targeted radioligand, which is the subject of an IND expected to be submitted in the first quarter of 2025. Our pipeline also includes IM-1617, IM-1335, and IM-1340, all of which are preclinical ADCs pursuing undisclosed targets with expression in multiple solid tumors.
Position Overview
We are seeking expert biologics and ADC discovery leader to oversee analytical characterization function within the Antibody and ADC Sciences team. This role includes responsibility to manage and perform thorough characterization of antibody and Antibody drug conjugate (ADC) modalities using mass spectrometry and other analytical techniques. The role will oversee support from discovery to lead candidate identification processes, confirm in silico identified liabilities, assess the formulation stability, and advance the most promising candidates for conjugation in collaboration with antibody and bioconjugation teams, and cross-functionally with biology and chemistry project leads. This person will also support the characterization of attributes related to research level developability analysis and interpret results to inform and transfer molecule assessment knowledge to process development teams.
The ideal candidate will be an expert in antibody and ADC mass spectrometry and have a deep understanding of post-translational modifications and conformational changes for antibodies and complex modalities. This person will be knowledgeable in the analysis of DAR for ADCs as part of the characterization and stability assessment. Additionally, this candidate will foster collaboration of the team with production and automation teams to develop and implement new technologies and platforms to enhance the efficiency of analytical characterizations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee analytical characterization function for antibody and ADCs in the discovery pipeline.
- Leverage drug discovery and development experience to support screening and selection process with a defined analytical toolbox.
- Optimize workflows for ADC and antibody priorities by integrating automation or semi high throughput processes into analytical assays where possible.
- Contribute to project teams and work effectively across functional groups to help advance programs.
- Leverage expertise and experience with ADC analytical assays to support scientists in the team in the characterization of DAR, conjugation efficiency, and plasma stability of ADCs to support new linker payload technologies and bioanalysis for pharmacology studies.
- Routinely demonstrate scientific initiative and creativity in research activities.
- Demonstrates high proficiency across a wide range of relevant analytical technologies such as LC-MS, CE-SDS, HIC, RP-HPLC, and HDX.
