Job Purpose
The Accounting Intern assists the Finance and Accounting functions in various tasks and projects
Key duties and responsibilities
- Import corporate credit card transactions and reconcile credit card statements
- Process employee expense report transactions
- Calculate use tax payments
- Monitor and reconcile accounts payable
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year end close
- Assist with annual financial audit preparation
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Pursing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting
- Completion of financial and managerial accounting courses
- Proficient at Excel (QuickBooks knowledge/experience a plus)
- Extremely organized with high attention to detail
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Effective at prioritizing tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Credits
This is a paid internship; which also may be used for course credit.
