What are the responsibilities and job description for the Print Shop Manager position at imogene + willie?
We are looking for someone to manage the operations of our Nashville screen printing facility, inclusive of running the print press, preparing screens, and overseeing printing and inventory staff - all while meeting KPIs for the business. This role requires extensive attention to detail and precision, as well as passion for what we do and how we do it.
This is a full-time role based in-person in Nashville, TN.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Schedule and prioritize all print jobs effectively
- Manage and execute all printing operations
- Collaborate across departments to maintain a smooth workflow. Inclusive of: consulting with the production, design, and warehouse teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
- Troubleshoot printing issues and implement effective solutions.
- Train and manage new print shop employees, focusing on press equipment operation, safety protocols, and quality control to meet company standards.
- Monitor and maintain all print shop equipment for optimal performance.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of print job workflows in Airtable.
- Manage inventory by ordering printing supplies to ensure adequate stock levels at all times.
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and yearly print shop goals.

What You’ll Need:
- Experience in screen printing or silk screening OR
- 2 years of management experience—apparel industry experience is a plus
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehension of color theory is strongly valed
