ImOn Communications has been the LOCAL choice for high-speed Internet, cable TV, and phone in Eastern Iowa since 2007. Since then, we have expanded our network to provide fiber Internet services to more than a dozen communities in Iowa and beyond! As we grow our network, we are looking for a Community Marketing Coordinator to join our team.

The Community Marketing Coordinator drives brand awareness through grassroots outreach and event marketing. This role includes door-to-door material distribution, planning and attending community events, and engaging directly with local audiences to build brand presence. The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, and passionate about hands-on marketing and community connection.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Grassroots Marketing & Community Engagement
- Conduct door-to-door marketing drops in new and expansion markets to build awareness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, non-profits, and community leaders.
- Help identify and execute hyper-local marketing campaigns tailored to specific neighborhoods.
- Serve as a brand ambassador at public spaces, community hubs, and local businesses.
- Engage with residents to educate, inform, and drive interest in products/services.
- Manage vendor relationships for promotional materials, print collateral, and outreach supplies.
- Oversee inventory and distribution of swag, promotional items, and branded materials for community outreach.
Event Marketing & Activation
- Plan, coordinate, and execute local events and brand activations.
- Attend community events, festivals, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness.
- Manage event logistics, including permits, materials, staffing, and on-site engagement.
- Set up and manage event booths, distributing promotional materials and collecting leads.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution.
- Track event attendance, customer interactions, and ROI to optimize future event strategy.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and report on grassroots outreach effectiveness, including lead generation, engagement rates, and sales.
- Analyze event attendance, community engagement, and campaign success metrics.
- Gather and incorporate community feedback to refine marketing strategies.
- Maintain a database of outreach efforts, partnerships, and event performance.
- Provide regular reports and insights to improve overall marketing effectiveness.
Requirements
We are looking for people with (minimum requirements):
- At least 2 years working in a public and/or customer facing environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends) to accomplish goals.
- Must have a valid state issued Driver’s License.
- Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks, including setting up event booths, distributing door-to-door marketing materials, and more.
- This position may require the ability to work in various outdoor environments and weather conditions.

- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
