About the role:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for growing revenues in a given geographic area, specifically focused on automation products and integrated solutions. This will be accomplished by directly pursuing and managing new prospects, current customers and key accounts. This individual should be entrepreneurial minded, a proven sales leader and technically competent.
What you'll do:
- Manage the sales cycle including opportunity identification, application support, quoting, implementation support, and after-sale follow-up.
- Conduct onsite and virtual sales calls to provide technical consultation, product demos, and recommendations based on customer needs
- Develop a thorough understanding of Impact’s product lines and their proper application
- Develop and execute innovative sales strategies.
- Generate leads and sales through prospecting, in-person visits, online marketing programs and other methodologies.
- Build and form new partnerships with potential clients.
- Execution of daily activities to meet goals and objectives.
Our ideal candidate:
- 3-5 years' expertise in technical sales related to electrical industrial automation, or experience working with electrical controls (required)
- Degree in Sales, Marketing or Engineering
- Experience with greater Kansas City, MO geography.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Knowledge of sales principles, tactics, and strategies
- High degree of professionalism, dependability, self-direction, and time management
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present information and sell products and services in a highly competitive environment
- Strong organizational/time management skills.
