Our client, a Global Medical Device Manufacture has an immediate opening for an EH&S Specialist for a 6 Month Contract. This individual will implement, monitor, improve and develop Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at our clients locations in Sandy Springs and Atlanta, GA. This position will help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations as well as promote a safe work culture dedicated to identifying and eliminating hazards, managing risks, educating and improving the overall safety and health of our employees. This role is located in Atlanta, GA. RESPONSIBILITIES : Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to environment and safetyMaintain and improve environment, health, and safety programs (, Lockout tagout, Hazardous communication, Ergonomics, Illness and injury prevention)Conduct EH&S assessments to evaluate EHS risksDevelop EH&S procedures for new processes, equipment, chemicals, tasks, , engineering, facilities, Labs and R&DHelp lead and support EHS Points of Contact at each site (Sandy Springs and Atlanta)Chemical review and hazard communicationDevelop and execute company training programs for employees in areas such as HazCom, incident reporting and investigation, Emergency preparedness, lab safety, ergonomics, , resources and training are in place to respond to emergency scenariosREQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree required4 years of post-graduate related work experience requiredExperience in a manufacturing or similar industry -preferredExperience managing consultants, contractors, and vendors - preferred
