Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan's 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Technical Writing Analyst The Technical Writer (standards drafter) will be responsible for drafting new documents from historical standard work content in support of our clients Standards Projects to create a Specific Operations Manual.This is a transformational project with a stated delivery of early 2026. The business groups that own the current standards have stated that they cannot support the lift needed to complete this project. Duties : -Receive assignment to draft new document-Access database of historical content "chunks"-Reorganize those chunks and others identified by project team into new file -Flag / note the use of a chunk to track its rightful reauthoring utilization and location it was used in-Route document for review and approvalsRequirements / Qualifications 2-5 years of experienceBackground in technical writing, creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) or instruction documents / manuals. Ability to follow instructions, procedures and move information into standard templates translate technical material to effective visual content for end-user decision makingExcellent editing skills; detail-orientedMinimum Associates degree required.
