Our client is seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to oversee and manage all safety-related activities at their manufacturing plant. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all plant safety activities to ensure a safe working environment.
- Administer and monitor comprehensive safety training programs for plant employees.
- Oversee accident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up.
- Serve as the primary administrator for the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) system.
- Act as the Environmental Management System (EMS) representative for ISO 14001 compliance.
- Collaborate with HR and management to manage workers' compensation issues and ensure proper reporting.
- Conduct hazardous assessments for existing and new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Lead and coordinate all safety audits, and manage first-aid supplies.
- Work closely with plant management and corporate teams to maintain a robust and effective safety program.
- Oversee the company safety program, including conducting orientation training for new hires.
- Maintain and update record-keeping systems to track and evaluate safety compliance.
- Prepare and submit monthly safety reports to plant and corporate systems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the plant's safety objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR 5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 2 years' of safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with OSHA and MIOSHA regulations.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience with MSDS management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
