This critical role ensures on-time shipments, optimizes inventory levels, and improves cost, quality, and delivery efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead production planning activities to support timely product launches.
- Monitor inventory levels, raw material procurement, and warehousing/shipping operations for timely delivery.
- Develop departmental plans, budgets, and master production schedules using sales forecasts, customer demand, and capacity planning.
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, and Materials Department requirements while setting strategic direction for future improvements.
- Supervise professional and leadership staff, providing guidance and strategic direction.
- Champion process improvements and projects to enhance cost efficiency, product quality, and delivery performance.
- Establish inventory turn goals, minimizing obsolete inventory and recommending disposition.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
- 4 years of experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
- 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience, including financial/budget responsibility and strategic decision-making.
- 3 years of automotive manufacturing experience.
