Our client, a Global Medical Device Manufacture has an immediate opening for a Medical Device Assembler for a 6 Month Contract to Hire opportunity. Assembles components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components and electrical components and all other related components in order to contribute to completion of a variety of products. Adheres to safety, quality and quantity standards and follows directions and standard work to meet product specifications.
Start time of 6:30am - 3:00pm with 30 minute break - Monday to Friday $19.50ph
Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)
- Assembles components utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and material in order to meet product specifications.
- Strives for operational excellence by promoting a team based, product-focused organization, contributing to continuous improvement, participating in safety and preventative maintenance programs, strives for cost reduction, and commits to on time, complete, and error free shipments.
- Assembles cartons and containers and prepares products for shipment in accordance with domestic, international and/or customer specifications.
- Palletizes products and prepares for domestic and international shipment.
- Responsible for set-ups, work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work-area.
- Responsible for accurate batch record entry and following shop order instructions.
- Committed to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance and meeting all training and documentation criteria.

- Using sonic welder as required for sub-assembly
- Submit 1 continuous improvement idea annually
- Other duties as assigned including warehouse activity
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires completion of high school education or equivalent. No license or certification is required
- Ability to follow instructions, basic reading and math skills.
- Must have or be able to develop basic skills in metrology, documentation, team concepts, and Basic Preventative Maintenance.
- Must be able to achieve line rate productivity and yields for a minimum of 2 work stations.
- Basic skills - Ability to read and follow instructions, basic reading and math skills, and ability to adhere to safety related issues to include, but not limited to good housekeeping and ergonomics practices.
