We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Manager to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management within the manufacturing industry, with a particular focus on plastics and injection molding processes. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless coordination of projects from development through to manufacturing, ensuring customer satisfaction and internal compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Respond to customer inquiries and requests, especially in the absence of the Sales Engineer (SE). Expedite or route customer concerns and requests appropriately.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate project development and launches, acting as the primary internal contact for customers, suppliers, and departments.
- Project Implementation: Lead project implementation, including advanced planning, tool construction, sampling, documentation, and submissions. Ensure all documentation reflects design intent and customer expectations.
- Engineering Change Orders (ECO): Initiate ECOs and manage the process through coordination with the Sales Coordinator. Ensure all relevant documents are updated, and personnel are informed of changes.
- Program Management: Define the scope of the program for both the company and its suppliers. Develop and manage the Program Budget and Open Issues matrix. Maintain all relevant program documentation and track project progress using PRP forms and other tools.
- Compliance and Standards: Manage engineering teams to meet internal and customer requirements such as TS16494, APQP, and AIAG standards. Support APQP and VA/VE activities.
- Communication and Reporting: Communicate program timelines to internal departments and present phase-gate reviews to management. Provide regular updates on program status, budget, and milestones.
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental management systems and seek opportunities to reduce environmental impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 3-10 years of experience in Program Management, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated experience in plastic design and injection molding processes.
- Experience with blueprint reading and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to interpret technical procedures and customer specifications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- Well-organized, self-directed, and disciplined, with a strong focus on achieving results.
