Position Overview: The Elementary School Teacher at Impact Christian Academy will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of our youngest learners. This position involves creating a nurturing, engaging, and academically stimulating environment that aligns with our Christian values. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to fostering a love of learning and spiritual growth in their students.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Instruction:
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the academic and spiritual needs of students.
- Integrate Christian principles and perspectives throughout the curriculum.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to cater to the diverse learning styles of students.
Classroom Management:
- Create a positive, structured learning environment where students feel safe and valued.
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote respect, responsibility, and Christian values.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and set goals for academic and personal growth.
Parental Communication and Engagement:
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and upcoming events.
- Encourage parental involvement in the educational process and school community.
Professional Development:
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Pre-K/Primary (PK-3) certification
- Valid teaching certification for elementary education.
- Experience in teaching at the elementary level, preferably in a Christian school setting.
- Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A committed Christian, actively living out your faith and willing to integrate it into your teaching.
