Impact Confections is an innovative manufacturer of candies marketed under the WarHeads® and Melster Candies® brand names. WarHeads® are one of the most recognized (and tastiest!) sour candies in the world and the fastest growing brand in the market! this position will work 6:45am to 3:00pm Monday- Friday/ Some Saturdays during peak season.
SUMMARY
The Material Handler is an active, physical role that supports the crafting of the tastiest candies in the world for customers and distributors throughout our network. Utilizing a powered pallet jack, the primary role of this position is to keep the production lines supplied with the required products and packaging materials to support production requirements. Additionally, this role removes the finished product from the lines and helps ensure the proper recording and documentation of goods. You’ll keep busy in a fast-paced production environment as you contribute towards keeping our fans supplied with the most popular sour candies in the world!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide training for new employees.
- Weekly counts of materials and whipped product.
- Adhere to safety and company policies
- Moves materials through warehouse, staging and production areas
- Setup and maintain material stock for each production line or area
- Move pallets of finished goods from production area to warehouse
- Count, return and process material transactions
- Keep accurate paperwork and counts of all associated materials
- Maintain highly accurate counts of materials transacted
- Communicate cross functionally effectively to mitigate production issues
- All other duties as assigned
- Demonstrate a commitment to food safety and continuous improvements.
- Required to attend initial and annual training for GMP, HACCP, SQF and Food Defense.
- Must be able to successfully demonstrate knowledge to the above topics and adherence to current Good Manufacturing practices.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school education or equivalent related experience or training a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals..
