Full Time Member Service Representative III

Impact is looking for a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Member Service Representative III. This position will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing or recommending approval of loan applications. Additionally, this position will be responsible for presenting, explaining and assisting Impact Credit Union Members with these products and services. This position will report directly to the Office Manager and deals directly with members and potential members. Opportunity for advancement, on the job training and tuition reimbursement will be available for this full-time employee.
As a Member Service Representative you will…
· Review loan applications and recommend approval or denial based on applicants financial information
· Obtain, verify, and analyze applicants’ financial information, such as credit rating and income
· Review loan agreements to ensure that they comply with federal and state regulations
· Recognize opportunities to recommend loans and other products best fit for the member
· Explain to applicants the different types of loans and the terms of each type
· Assist members with the opening and closing of accounts
· Reviews non-cash deposits and withdrawals from accounts
· Issues certificates, drafts and other negotiable instruments
· Provides service to member inquiries regarding member products and services
· Assists members to resolve discrepancies, balancing and reconciling, adding or reducing service features
· Provides assistance to members to ensure the most effective usage of products and services
· Upsell product and services to Impact Credit Union members according to their individual needs
· Processes several types of financial transactions
Qualifications:
· At least 3-5 years related experience in a full service financial institution, Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of education/experience that provides the required knowledge and skills
· At least 1 year of lending experience
· Exceptional reasoning skills, communication skills and mathematical skills
· Experience with financial institution processing systems
· Ability to stand for long periods, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as well as lift up to 50lbs
