Mill Operator
Monroe MI
$16/Hr - Paid Weekly
1st shift
Monday - Friday 6 am to 4:30 pm
Responsible for machine set ups, quality and manufacturing of wood/lumber products. Maintains correct production reports.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate Production machinery such as CNC and various saws/cutting machinery to manufacture wood/lumber products
- Perform equipment change-over’s
- Complete Pre-Shift/start up equipment inspection
- Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside specifications
- Operate within standard operation procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
- Complete daily production logs
- Clean and maintain work area
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months experience operating production/mill machinery
- Ability to read a tape measure and follow specific work instructions
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively is required
