Job Description
As a delivery driver you will be operating various tractor-trailer combinations between company terminals and customer facilities or work sites within the terminal's geographic service area.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and current driver’s license.
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, delivery vans, and courier vehicles.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Able to work as a Team.
- Communicate effectively with customers when required.
- Pull orders, Load and unload goods and materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual methods.
- Unload safely when necessary.
- Assist in Warehouse when needed.
- Bend, Kneel and lift as needed to perform various tasks.
- Maintain proper delivery paperwork and ensure it is returned to warehouse after every delivery. Also Maintain accurate records, including mileage, and any incidents or delays.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Have experienced trailer knowledge – be able to pull back a 24ft Trailer.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries.
