Job Description
As a Logistics Coordinator you will ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials within a company or between different organizations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the transportation of goods.
- Determine the most efficient routes and shipping methods to optimize delivery schedules and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with various departments within the organization, including procurement, sales, and production, to coordinate movement of goods effectively.
- Address any delays, issues or disruptions in the transportation process and finding solutions to resolve them.
- Keep detailed information concerning carrier performance and maintain relationships with each carrier.
- Generate reports and analyze data related to shipping and logistics performance.
- Assist in Warehouse when needed.
- Pull orders, Load and unload goods and materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual methods.
- Always load or unload safely, keeping safe work practices in mind.
- Bend, Kneel and lift as needed to perform various tasks.
- Maintain proper delivery paperwork and ensure it is returned to warehouse after every delivery. Also Maintain accurate records, including mileage, and any incidents or delays.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
- Forklift Operating Certificate preferred.
