Job Summary:
We are in search of a Salesperson. Someone charming, with the ability to think on their feet. Responsible and accountable for developing new business within an existing customer list, both customers and prospects alike. This position is expected to expand our existing base and close new business opportunities with our ever-expanding product and service offering. This is a local/remote opportunity with up to 50% travel required. The territory includes Florida and southern GA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and identify new business development opportunities within new market segments to further sales diversification objectives.
- Identify, develop and secure sales opportunities through cold calling, qualifying, prospecting and relationship building. Accountable for meeting established revenue goals.
- Provide sales quotes to new and existing customer contacts while meeting established quoting lead times.
- Follow up on previous sales quotes, new leads, completed purchase orders and sales calls.
- Provide high quality customer service to internal and external customers, working collaboratively with other company departments.
- Maintain all customer updates in CRM/Salesforce
- Maintain awareness of all product information in order to communicate effectively with new and existing customers.
- Report customer feedback to management team.
- Partner with sales peers with National Accounts to drive further development and closure.
- Proactively research and assess market trends and utilize information to drive growth.
- Use company resources to develop and maintain current knowledge of industry news, trends and initiatives.
- Assist with pricing recommendations to maximize sales and margins; write proposals.
- Creation and implementation of strategic sales plans and annual forecasts for designated customer base/region.
- Develop, maintain and grow a quality opportunity pipeline in the company CRM.
- Regularly update and maintain the company CRM with sales activities.
- Manages budget and expense account within company guidelines.
- Work with Inside Sales and Customer Experience team
- Other duties may be assigned.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but waste sales experience would be considered in lieu.
- Six-plus years of B2B sales or business development experience. Sales statistics demonstrating sales growth capabilities will be requested if not provided.
- Previous experience working within the waste industry a plus but not necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to create a cohesive strategy for new business development.
- Ability to gain acceptance with contacts at all levels – from the shop floor to the C-Suite.
