Job Summary: The Inside Sales Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the sales team and maintaining customer relationships. This position involves managing customer databases, processing orders, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring accurate and timely communication with customers and sales representatives. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Support:
- Provide support to the sales team by assisting with order processing, tracking, and follow-up tasks.
- Act as a liaison between customers, sales representatives, and internal departments.
- Order Management:
- Enter and process sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Track open orders and conduct weekly calls with customers to review order status and resolve any issues.
- Maintain open order logs and communicate regularly with customers about delays or delivery dates.
- Sales Coordination:
- Schedule and obtain Site Survey Requests.
- Create new quotes and update existing ones as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments for order scheduling, processing, and finalization.
- Assist with inventory allocation to ensure proper stock levels for order fulfillment.
- Reporting and Recordkeeping:
- Maintain organized sales records and report month-end goals to senior management.
- Prepare and deliver monthly sales reports.
- Assist with maintaining the ERP database to ensure data integrity.
- Continuous Product Knowledge:
- Stay updated on product information and industry trends.
- Communicate product knowledge to customers and sales representatives.
Requirements:
- Skills and Competencies:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in inside sales, sales coordination, or a related role is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and CRM software is a plus.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is desirable.
