Position Title : Sr. Inventory Control Specialist
Department : Materials
Reports to : Stockroom Supervisor
Wage Range $23-$29
Principal Accountabilities :
- Pass communications between the area, the other functional areas / productions lines, engineers and supervisors. Communicate with the Buyers & CFT's as required to maintain excellence in meeting customer's expectations
- Communicate between shifts pertaining to daily issues and daily priorities
- Keep track of quality data, trends and issues
- Maintain the kitting schedule
- Help train crew to exceed the customer's expectations
- Order shop supplies for the area via approval of the budget manager
- Perform kit audits when needed.
- Help track down part shortages.
- Support production by filling scrap replacement requests.
- Count and return to on-hand, the material being returned from production after the completion of a work order.
- Maintain cycle counting program.
- If required complete physical inventory.
- Help with reconciliation of all physical counts to minimize loss to company, and to drive to the root cause of discrepancies.
- Help with the collection and count of residual material to be sold to customers at the end of programs.
- Maintain integrity of customer owned material.
- Help receiving when needed.
- Update QMS procedures and work instructions as needed to match current process.
- Provide feedback to the supervisor regarding performance evaluations
- In the absence of direct supervision, is responsible for maintaining work flow, minimizing loitering and talking and completing all assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Be a positive resource for the area to ask questions; provide the necessary research and due diligence to discover the correct answers; and, communicate the question and answer to not only the one who answered the question; but rather to everyone in the area.
- Continually look for ways to improve processes.
- Audit Lean projects weekly to ensure stability and sustainability. Give feedback to individuals to encourage improvement.
- Be a role model by following and re-enforcing Safety, ESD, ITAR and QMS protocols.
Minimum Qualifications :
Knowledge of IPC-A-610
Warehouse experience
Minimum Competencies :
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
Average computer skills
Preferred Qualifications :
2 years of prior warehouse / inventory supervisory experience or 2 years of warehouse / inventory experience
2-year degree
2 years working with in a electronics plant warehouse
2 years working with ERP system
Preferred Competencies :
Excellent computer skills
