What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Impact Fire Services?
The Financial Analyst will be instrumental in the development, tracking, forecasting, reporting, and accounting for all AI Fire projects. This is a key financial planning and analysis (FP&A) role with executive-level visibility driving profitability for all our product lines. The analyst will interface with all aspects of the company, including operational, sales, accounting, and management. This position is remote with 15% travel and occasional office attendance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead forecast of key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned business areas such as headcount, capital, and operating expenses.
- Forecast and track revenue, margin, and cost for all business entities.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses as needed to support operational decision-making.
- Perform a leading role on internal projects, working closely with peers to understand key business issues and translate them into financial models and metrics.
- Develop and enhance tools to track revenue performance and costs every month.
- Provide insight on revenue, spending variances, and department-level reporting to business partners.
- Analyze and interpret financial data for use in management reviews.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or engineering.
- 2 years of experience in an accounting, finance, or business role (internship experience qualifies).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with big data and complex financial models.
- Familiarity with reporting, visualization, intelligence, and analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to regularly interface with executive management.
- Experience with presenting analytical results in both verbal and written form across a multi-disciplinary organization.
- Ability to frame unstructured and complex analytical problems for a broad audience.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and learning.
- Experience with Planful or similar financial planning software is a plus.
- Must be located in the Austin, TX area.
- Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Salary range $75,000-$90,000 plus bonus!
