Job Summary
This position reports to the Fire Alarm Manager or their designated Agent. The Fire Alarm Service Technician will provide professional and timely inspections, installations, and service on various fire alarm system devices in primarily industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally.
- Independent Work: Work independently while providing excellent communication with customers, direct supervisor, and service team members.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine inspection, scheduled repairs, and emergency service calls on fire alarm systems in industrial, commercial, and residential buildings.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose issues with fire alarm systems, troubleshoot faulty components, wiring, and equipment to restore optimal system performance.
- Training and Education: Provides customer instruction on system operation and functionality, educates customers on fire alarm system best practices and emergency response procedures.
- Documentation and Compliance: Complete and submit required task-related documentation in a timely manner, ensure all work complies with relevant codes and regulations.
- Safety and Equipment Management: Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices, maintain equipment trucks, lifts, tools, and vehicles in accordance with company procedures.
Job Qualifications:
- Licensing and Certification: Applicable licensing and certification required by National, State, and Local codes.
- Experience and Training: NICET Certification and/or verifiable work history of 5 years desired (Fire Sprinkler Experience is a plus), experience in industrial applications preferred.
- Communication and Customer Service Skills: Excellent communications and customer service skills, possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
