Monday – Friday with occasional overtime and Saturday hours

1st Shift – 06:00 am – 2:30 pm

2nd Shift – 02:30 pm – 11:30 pm

SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team. The Saw Operator will be responsible for operating an up-cut saw that is run by an Estiframe computer cutting system, as well as a Safety Speed vertical panel saw. The ideal candidate will have experience with both types of saws and be able to operate them safely and efficiently. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all cuts are accurate and meet the required specifications. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate an up-cut saw that is run by an Estiframe computer cutting system.
• Operate a Safety Speed vertical panel saw.
• Ensure that all cuts are accurate and meet the required specifications.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating the saws.
• Maintain and clean the saws regularly.
• Troubleshoot and solve any issues that may arise during the operation of the saws.
• Work in a team environment to ensure that production goals are met.

Education:

• High School Diploma is preferred but not required.

Work Authorization

• All prospective Impact Housing employees need to demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements:

• Previous experience as a saw operator, preferably with both up-cut saw and vertical saw.
• Knowledge of computerized cutting systems, such as Estiframe.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy materials, and operate machinery.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.
• Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 80 lbs.; includes body weight, equipment, tools, and boxes.

• Competitive hourly range of $19-21 depending on skills and experience.
