About the Role:
We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our Controller and CFO with maintaining accurate books and records, managing A/P and A/R, and performing day-to-day administrative accounting tasks. What You’ll Do:
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations regularly
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
- Assist with payroll maintenance and processing
- Calculate and process commissions
- Support the creation and oversight of internal processes and controls
- Help manage GAAP-based accrual accounting across multiple entities
- Assist with monthly close by the 15th of each month
- Prepare and organize monthly financial reports, including P&L and Balance Sheet
- Contribute to weekly cash flow projections and support budget preparation and tracking
- Work with the CFO and Controller to build a responsive and efficient accounting function
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role
- Strong understanding of A/P, A/R, and general accounting practices
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and GAAP principles is a plus
- Comfort working independently and as part of a small team
- Located within commuting distance to Southfield, MI
