Housing Support Technicians for Mental Health Housing Services;
Impact Mental Health Services LLC. is an innovative community based mental health agency committed to providing the most effective support services to members of the Tidewater area. Our goal is to empower our clients to become strong advocates for themselves, or their family.
We are looking to hire a committed, dependable, enthusiastic, and task-oriented housing support technician who will make thoughtful connections with our clients. Housing support technicians provide supportive services with mentally ill population in their current community settings, oversee housing needs, and supervise day to day activities of the identified person in need of various supports.
Verbal communication skills, organizational skills, time-management skills, and attention to detail are essential traits needed in our next housing support technician.
REQUIREMENTS :
Must have a valid Virginia driver's license
Must have a high school diploma
Must have current work experience in community-based support services
Must have experience in being able to effectively communicate with persons with a mental health diagnosis
Must be able to provide hands on instruction and guidance on general housekeeping skills, and core functional living skills
DUTIES :
Attend scheduled rounds as directed with utmost professionalism, including but not limited to the observation and necessary intervention of any one of the following :
Ensure clients are not smoking, engaging in illegal substance use, or drinking on the premises.
Prompt and promote cleanliness of personal and communal space(s).
Enforce all policies and procedures related to guest visitors : No guests after 9 : 00pm, guests must abide by house policies and procedures which includes revoking a guest’s right to visit if violating any policies and / or procedures along with a charge of trespassing for any illegal substance or paraphernalia found on guest, make certain that clients are responsible for their guests’ actions and behaviors, foster an environment of respect and dignity, including a zero-tolerance concerning profanity, and visual observation and eye contact with clients.
Maintain open communication with the clients’ QMHPs as it relates to client care.

Pay : $22.23 - $23.68 per hour
