Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate individual who would like to work in an environment where they will make a difference in the lives of our customers.
In this position, you would be responsible for providing individualized direct support, positive re-direction and one on one assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental delays.
Responsibilities
- Daily responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assisting customer to grow and meet personal goals
- Assisting customer with ADL/IADL tasks
- Aid with household cleaning and chores
- Give cues for daily hygiene and routine
Skills
- Experience in working with people with developmental disabilities is highly valued.
- Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy principles is essential.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary requirements and preferences.
- Familiarity with nursing home or hospice care practices is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting when assisting residents with mobility challenges.
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and safety within the living environment.
- Compassionate demeanor combined with a commitment to enhancing the lives of those supported.

Job requirements:
Must be 18 years or older
Have a valid driver's license or state ID card
Valid auto insurance

The ability to pass a criminal history background check
